Sculptra

Sculptra is made from Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA), a very well known collagen stimulator, which helps to improve the appearance of deep wrinkles and folds and to correct fine lines as well as volumising facial or temple hollowness or replenishing facial fat loss and achieving a subtle volumising or slimming lift.
It’s the ideal choice when collagen replacement or an increase in facial volume or firmness is needed and when you want to keep things looking as natural as possible.

Sculptra can be used on the face, the neck, the decolletage (Chest) and the upper arms.

Sculptra is FDA approved and CE marked and comes from Galderma, a reputable company. It has been used and loved worldwide since 1999. It contains Poly-L-Lactic acid (PLLA) which is biocompatible and absorbed naturally by the body.
The best areas for treatment are the temples, the whole of the cheek area and the jawline.
A local anaesthetic (LA) is mixed with Sculptra prior to use and a LA cream is applied to the treatment areas prior to the procedure, but you may still experience a little discomfort and brief stinging or burning sensations during your treatment.
Once you have completed your course of 3-6 treatments, results can last 2 years or more. A single yearly maintenance treatment is recommended however, to avoid having to do a whole course of treatment again and to maintain optimum results.
Commonly, injection site pain, redness, bruising and tenderness. Also sometimes, itching, lumps forming, bleeding and swelling.
Makeup and active skincare should be avoided for 24 hours. Also avoid prolonged sun exposure, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and vigorous exercise until any swelling and redness have disappeared. You will be given an aftercare pack by your practitioner and YOU MUST commit to to massaging your treated areas for 5 days after the procedure: 5-5-5: 5 minutes massage, 5 times a day for 5 days. This is to ensure optimum long-lasting results and to prevent any lumps/nodules forming.
