Hydrating Skin Boosters are an injectable treatment containing Hyaluronic Acid (HA). They treat the overall condition of your skin providing essential hydration to promote skin health, tone and elasticity, fine lines and wrinkle reduction and sometimes even boost collagen production.

SKINVIVE is an injectable treatment that focusses on skin quality. For skin to look it’s best, hydration is essential. It’s surface, texture, elasticity, tone and glow are largely down to it’s hydration.
SKINVIVE is a hyaluronic acid treatment that can be injected into the skin of the face, neck, decolletage and hands. It offers long-lasting hydration, improves skin smoothness, and visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines after a single treatment.

SKINVIVE attracts and retains water, using hyaluronic acid to increase your skin’s hydration.

SKINVIVE increases hydration where it’s needed, improving skin smoothness, skin tone and the appearance of fine lines after just one treatment.

SKINVIVE increases the expression of a naturally occurring hydration marker (AQP3) deep in your skin over time to offer long-lasting hydration for up to 9 months.

Prior to treatment, an anaesthetic cream may be applied. During the treatment your medical practitioner will make multiple, superficial injections across your chosen area with a very fine needle. To ease any discomfort you may feel during the process, SKINVIVE includes the anaesthetic, lidocaine. Minor side effects can occur, as with any injectable treatment. These include some redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness.

SKINVIVE is designed to reduce fine lines and improve skin hydration and elasticity for up to nine months. Usually you would repeat your treatment every six to nine months, depending on your skin, lifestyle and other factors. Speak to your medical practitioner about how to maintain your results, and when you should book a follow-up treatment.

Viscoderm Hydrobooster

The two expressions of Hyaluronic Acid (HA)

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is a stabilised hyaluronic acid injectable which offers a dual function:

A biological process of hydration and tissue restructuring, together with a mechanical action to stretch the most superficial wrinkles, in a precise and natural way, resulting in its unique HYDROSTRETCH action.
This is made possible by its low gel stiffness and viscosity, guaranteeing optimal tissue integration and allowing us to use the product in different levels of the dermis, even superficially.

Viscoderm Hydrobooster improves radiance, elasticity and smoothness of the skin. Bio-restructuring activity is safely prolonged over time with this unique formula from IBSA, the makers of Profhilo.

Superficial wrinkles are smoothed and stretchable, making this an ideal treatment for those dynamic areas of the face: the forehead, around the eyes (periorbital) and around the mouth (perioral).

Viscoderm Hydrobooster comes in a 1.1ml syringe and is delivered using either a cannula or a needle, much like dermal fillers.

Viscoderm Hydrobooster’s unique formula results in the smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles without adding the volume associated with Dermal Fillers. Again, making it ideal for areas where volume would be detectable, such as the smoker’s lines around the lips.

Two treatments are generally required, with an interval of 8 weeks. For maintenance, one treatment is required every nine to 12 months.

Any injectable HA treatment does have the potential to cause side effects. Commonly these are redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising. You will improve quite quickly but if you bruise, depending on severity, this will take one to two weeks to resolve.

Should you develop a problem post procedure such as an allergic reaction (unlikely) or infection (very rare), this product is reversible, so can be dissolved by your Practitioner if this proves necessary.

Your practitioner will go through all the risks and side effects associated with your procedure at your consultation.
