HArmonyCa is a Hybrid dermal filler product intended for facial soft tissue augmentation and is injected into the deep dermal and sub-dermal layers of the skin using a cannula. The lidocaine (anaesthetic) in the product is for reducing pain during treatment.
HArmonyCa is a relatively new dual-effect Hybrid Injectable, combining hyaluronic acid (HA) with calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA).

What is skin laxity?
Skin laxity is defined as loose skin. Both collagen and elastic tissue breakdown can contribute to skin laxity and play an important role in the appearance of aging.
How do HA and CaHA work?
In a single treatment, HA and CaHA are injected into the deep dermal and subdermal layers in specific facial regions.
Following injection, HA particles diffuse between collagen fibres of the lower dermal layer for an immediate lifting effect. CaHA microspheres work deep within the dermis to form a scaffold that supports internal growth of fibroblasts.
As the HA-based carrier gel is degraded over time, CaHA supports the body’s own collagen production to build a firm and dense framework in its place, for a long-lasting lift.

What does the procedure involve?
Your healthcare professional will first discuss your concerns and assess whether you are suitable for treatment with HArmonyCa™. They will then perform injections with HArmonyCa™ in the areas of the face that need treating. HArmonyCa™ contains lidocaine, an anaesthetic, to reduce pain you may experience during treatment.
What areas of the face can I get treated with HArmonyCa™?
HArmonyCa™ can be used under the skin in the deep dermal and sub-dermal layers in certain areas of the face, and cannot be injected around the eyes, the lips or around the mouth. During your consultation, your healthcare professional will discuss your concerns and suggest which facial areas can be treated with HArmonyCa™.
What makes HArmonyCa™ different from biostimulators or other dermal fillers?
Biostimulators* and hyaluronic acid dermal fillers work differently and may not give the same results. HArmonyCa™ is uniquely manufactured in a stepwise manner that expertly combines cross-linked HA with CaHA, resulting in one homogeneous product with a dual effect.

Can you explain pre-and post-treatment care?
During your consultation, your healthcare professional will advise you on what you should do before and after your treatment with HArmonyCa™. However, after your treatment you should.
Avoid any high-intensity exercise or activities, exposure to sunlight, tanning beds or extreme weather conditions for 24 hours.
As with most injectable treatments there may be some redness, swelling and irritation. Apply an ice pack or cold compresses to the treated areas for 24 hours, in order to reduce redness, swelling and irritation.
Massage the treated areas if you feel any small bumps.
How quickly can I return to my everyday activities after treatment?
Your healthcare practitioner performing the treatment will be able to advise you when it
is suitable to resume normal activities. Normally, you will need to wait 24 hours after your treatment with HArmonyOa™ before doing high-intensity exercise or activities.
Is the procedure painful/ will it hurt?
HArmonyCa™ contains 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride, an anaesthetic, to reduce pain during treatment. But as with all treatments, pain tolerance can vary between patients.
Will I be able to get HArmonyCa™ alongside other treatments/ HA fillers
Allergan Aesthetics treatments can be used alongside others as part of a complete plan, helping you to achieve the results you’re looking for.
You can speak to your healthcare professional about other facial aesthetic treatments you can use alongside HArmonyCa™ when creating your personalised treatment plan.
The safety and efficacy of HArmonyCa™ has not been evaluated in patients treated with other filling implants or dermal therapies.

Is HArmonyCa™ age-specific?
HArmonyCa™ Lidocaine is a dermal filler intended for facial soft tissue augmentation in
patients >18 years of age. The rate of aging of the face can vary for everyone and common patient concerns for the use of HArmonyCa™ include lack of skin firmness, mild/moderate lateral cheek sagginess, accordion lines, mild/moderate jowling.
What results can I expect with HArmonyCa™?
With HArmonyCa™ you may experience a rejuvenated, youthful look with a dual effect treatment for an instant lift that holds and sustained collagen stimulation.
After HArmonyOa™ treatment, skin looks firmer, lifted and tightened.
Are there any side effects associated with HArmonyC
Similar to other injectable treatments, the most common side effects after injection with HArmonyCa™ include redness, swelling, pain, tenderness and itching. These are mostly mild and typically get better within 1-2 days, while swelling may take up to a week to completely go away.
Applying ice packs or cold compresses to the treated areas for 24 hours after treatment can help to reduce redness, swelling and irritation. It is also possible that you may feel small bumps under the skin in the injected areas. If this happens, make sure to massage the skin in these areas. There are other, less common side effects with HArmonyCa™, which your healthcare professional will be able to discuss with you during your consultation.
