Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers are injections into the skin of a gel made of Hyaluronic Acid that can lift, shape, and smooth lines and wrinkles. They can be used to contour the face and also to create volume where it has been lost or lacking.
Hyaluronic Acid is a natural component of your skin, which also helps to stimulate collagen and elastin and create a more youthful appearance.

They have changed enormously since their introduction and can now look very natural, providing structure and shape, but moving naturally when you smile or animate. There is also a very varied selection, from the finest hydrating skin boosters for dehydrated skin and very fine lines, to products more suited to lifting and reshaping.

Here at GSN Aesthetics we use a wide range of clinically safe, aesthetic industry leading dermal fillers and hydrating skin boosters. These include: Juvederm, Viscoderm, IBSA Profhilo, Seventy Hyal 2000, and the very modern range of superior biodynamic dermal fillers, called Kysense.

We only ever use bio-degradable, non-permanent fillers.

Fillers are a minimally invasive procedure that can achieve a soft and natural look. They can be used in the lips to restore shape and definition, give volume to the face, erase wrinkles , shape the chin, jaw, temples or cheekbones , treat hands and neck and give skin a hydrated dewy appearance.
Results can be visible immediately and usually last around 6-12 months.

At GSN Aesthetics we also offer the following advanced treatments using Dermal fillers –

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty. Also known as the liquid nose job. This highly skilled procedure involves injecting dermal filler to precise areas of the nose to significantly improve it’s appearance. The nose can appear slimmer, bumps can be reduced and even a hooked nose can be lifted.

Liquid Face Lift. You may have heard of the 8 Point Face Lift, the 3D Ultimate Lift and the MD Codes? These techniques use advanced dermal fillers to smooth and re-contour your skin, enhance your natural features and restore volume throughout your face.

Tear Trough Treatment. This treatment is really a part of liquid face lifting. Again, advanced dermal fillers are used to treat under eyebags, hollows and dark circles to freshen up your eye area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Often, the skin looks red and there’s some swelling. This usually settles down after a few hours, but may last until the next day or longer (particularly for lip treatments). Bruising is a risk, as with any type of injection, but we do try and minimise this. We can apply make-up for you, on request, following your treatment, to allow you to return to everyday activities immediately.
An anaesthetic cream is applied to the skin, then tiny amounts of dermal filler are injected using a very fine needle. This gently lifts the wrinkle/fold or sculpts, to the required level. After the treatment cool packs and a soothing cream are applied.
This varies from client to client and depends on the area being treated and the amount and type of filler used. However, treatments generally last from four months to a year plus. Regular maintenance treatments minimise the amounts of product used at any one time and help to retain a soft, fresh, natural look.
Most of the modern fillers used today have a local anaesthetic added to the gel. The needle used is very fine and most people find the treatment only mildly uncomfortable. We also use a topical anaesthetic cream which is highly effective.
